Before refrigerators, there were these confit pots — the original meal-prep MVPs of the French countryside. For generations, families filled these stoneware pots with duck or goose, slow-cooked in its own fat, then tucked them into the cool cellar earth. That half-glazed look isn't a flaw — it's functional history, marking exactly how deep each pot was buried. Dinner prep at its finest.
