Makaua Baskets are handmade by artisans in Mexico, using a technique that has been passed down from generation to generation for hundreds of years. The word Makaua in the ancient Aztec language of Nahuatl has two meanings: from hand to hand or the act of giving a hand" - placing great importance on communities working together.
